What kind of animals did the Egyptians mummify?

The Egyptians mummified all kinds of different animals, such as: bulls, cats, dogs, fish, crocodiles, rodents, monkeys, jackal, snakes and even insects.  They basically tried to mummify any animal they possibly could. The animal they mummified the most was the cat. Pet monkeys and cats were often painted on tombs, usually under the chair of their owner, ensuring they would join their masters after death. Many Egyptians had good relationships with their pets and believed they would play with each other in the after life.
